Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, and attentive staff. Always a wonderful meal!

My family took me here for my birthday. We got the ravioli for an appetizer and they were delicious! and the marinara they came with was really sweet, which I preferred. I got the New York strip, it came with a side and a salad. Every party of the meal was really good. The servers where extremely nice and as soon as you needed anything I've would appear to handle it. Overall, I think this place is really nice if you're looking for a you scale place to have dinner or to celebrate a special occasion.

Excellent food and service. Succulent steaks and excellent side dishes. They also have a good dessert menu, but it is hard to save room.Anyone with difficulty walking should make reservations and request a table on the ground floor as the stairs to the second floor are very steep.

First time at Citizen Kane's. Charming place with the convenience of valet parking. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were delicious, and the service was attentive but not annoying. The prices were in line with most other high-end restaurants; maybe even a bit better as the soup or salad and a side were included in the price of the entree. We will most definitely be back.

Best steak ever. Kathy is a wonderful server, I will request her every visit! Valet is excellent. Cant say enough about my fabulous first experience!

Quaint restaurant in a historic home. Reservations are encouraged. The salads and apps were quite tasty. My party ordered a variety of cuts of meat. The Ribeyes came out very much underdone, but the strips were perfect and delicious. Dessert is also fairly good here. Valet parking is available though you can pull around out back and park yourself.

Even the veggies were perfect! Great service Great food. One of St Louis's best kept secrets.

If i only could have one meal before i die, it would be a cut of steak from here. I've been at some of the nicest restaurants in miami and their steak is still not as good. Get a reservation and try it.

Everything was great, the French onion soup, creamed spinach, salad and the filet was spectacular. Kathy, our waitress, was wonderful.

This was my first experience here. The food was perfectly prepared, presented, and served. Our wait staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. Perfect evening thank you and I will be back for sure.

Most excellent. The NY Strip was almost to much food and was cooked to perfection. The staff was incredibly polite, pleasant and knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about the restuarant and their staff. If you're looking for a relaxed, intimate atmosphere with great food, this is the place for you.

Visited by recommendation of a friend and the food was spot on: we had the NY strip, the filet mignon and the salmon. The meats were excellent both in texture, preparation and temperature. The side of mashed potatoes, green been with almonds and roasted veggies were satisfying. The salmon looked good but it was a bit overcooked. The atmosphere, although we do appreciate an antique flair, lacked luster. The staff was wonderful. If they didn't overcook the salmon despite my explicit and kind request to make it on the rare side, I would have overlooked the atmosphere and given them 5 stars. Maybe next time.

Citizen Kane's is not an everyday type restaurant. But sometimes you have to treat yourself and spend way too much money on some very delicious steak. The go to for major life celebrations. Free valet parking. It is snuggled into an old residential house so there are quite a few stairs if sat on the second level.

Cool themed restaurant with a cozy at-home vibe. Steak (Ribeye) was to die for, which itself earns the five star rating. My wife enjoyed the salmon. T-ravs were on point, though onion rings, while crisp, were a bit bland. Bar had wide array of spirits to choose. Overall, great place.

Food was great, service was great, cool atmosphere. The reason I I deducted 2 stars, principle. I was the designated driver of a party of 6, everyone else drank beer and wine. I drank club soda and was charged $1.95 apiece for bubbly water. I would have rather paid $10 more for my steak.

Service and quality has begun to slip over the last ten years. The last time I was here i had to ask 3 times to one of the high school bus boys randomly milling around looking lost to get a waiter to help us. On top of this, the steak wasn't cooked correctly. Seriously? A steak house of this caliber not cooking a steak correctly? I will give them one more shot because there are countless other options in STL.

Great filet n Mayfair dressing was outstanding. Wish we could have sat at a different table due to the loudmouthed woman seated close by.

The place is old fashioned but pretty good. I got a porkchop and loved it.

Hands down the best steak in town. Great environment,great staff and all around wonderful experience. Shout out to the Kane's family I've heard they are truly incredible people.

Excellent service with well prepared food. Quite an enjoyable experience that I'm eager to repeat. The Porkchops were large and yet well prepared. The Flash Fried spinach ( I love spinach) and Steak and Onion Soup were superb!
